I have a 93 ATX with a bad motor I am in the process of working on. I am pretty well versed in pulling a 3.0/MTX combo but this is my first ATX. I know from searching your supposed to take it out the bottom but I have a few more questions about it. Do you leave the power steering rack connected to the car or leave it connected to the subframe? After disconnecting all the hoses, lines, wires etc. I planned on supporting the engine, removing the subframe bolts, setting the car on short blocking, removing the nuts from the shocks, then lifting the front of the car off and rolling it back. Am I missing anything? Any pointers?

Are you just pulling the tranny, or the whole shebang? If you're just pulling the tranny, leave the rack connected at the column joint and spindles and leave it in the car. If you're pulling out the whole driveline, remove the 13mm bolt at the column joint and drop the rack with the subframe.

Thanks for the info. I will be dropping the whole shebang, swapping motors and sticking it right back in.
