How do you remove the carpetting back there to get at the nut closest to the outside of the car?

I usually just rip out the insulation. To get to the nut, use a prybar to push up on the seatbelt tensioner enough so you can get a ratcheting wrench on the nut (Gearwrench or such).

Thanks Chris! I'll give that a try... this hasn't been an easy suspension install...

I still couldnt even do it without completley removing the seatbelt. I tried prying it, but in fear of breaking it I just took it off.

Prying worked alright, but now I have yet another issue. When pushing the strut out of the hub I went too far and bent the area where the pinch bolt goes through. I expanded it too far.

Do I need a new hub? Could I try and clamp it back into position?

This suspension install has become a trainwreck
