So here is what happened. The plastic bushing on my drivers door striker bolt broke so i picked up new bolt/bushing sets from autozone. installed them on front drivers and passengers side and doors closed ok but not how they should be. the bolts on the new ones ended up being just a fraction of an inch longer than the OE ones and they wheren't working properly. so i went back the OE bolts and used the new bushings.

now both front doors close wonderfully and all body lines/gaps match up great but they are loose and rattle if you close the door with what i consider normal strength. if i push them harder or close the door very hard the door seals tight and doesn't rattle anymore but now the front doors are closed in tighter to the body than the rear doors and if i try to open the rear doors they rub the fronts.

what the h$ll else can be wrong here??

Did you try adjusting the door strike plates. When I needed replacements parts, I just found them at the Pull a part. SLO's/SHO's are all the same.

shimmed passenger side...not sure why i needed too since its the original bolt, bracket and shim...i just added an fatty washer and door is mint.

drivers side i believe is going to be a door hinge issue... the very top of the door overlaps the top of the rear door on the drivers side. no gap. passenger side is perfect.

I had the same problem after replacing the bushings on my front doors. Just so you know, when I used slightly above normal pressure to get rid of the rattles, my "door ajar" light now stays on continually.
