I own a 2011 Sho... it barely has 7500 miles on it. After a kick ass rain, as we usually get in the St Louis, Mo area , I have water collected in the passenger side rear door. It is, and it's not a big issue, but I feel with a car that listed for $ 46,000.00 new, I shouldn't have a problem like that. I took it to the dealer the first time I noticed it ( water slooshing ) in the back door. The dealer said that a lot of them, do that. You just open the dr and lift up the sealing strip at the bottom.. A person would think for that kind of money, you shouldn't have issues like this one. Has anyone had the same problem ????? And if so, was it repaired or what ?? :thankyou:

I haven't read of others having this problem, but if it is what you describe, the problem would not be specific to the SHO but the lower models of Taurus as well.

I'll have to take a look at mine, but I don't recall the door drain holes being obstructed by the weather stripping. Have you taken a look at the drain holes in the door to see if they are plugged? Is there any evidence that someone has had the car "corrosion protected" where they drill little holes in the door, spray some substance in the door such as undercoating, then plug the holes they drilled? A less experienced person doing this could have sprayed way too much which has now restricted the drains.
