Thanks again to way2evil, I was able to pinpoint the source of the rattle. The source (not root cause) is just above the passenger side "Oh S#!t" handle. Applying finger pressure about 1/2 inch toward the interior of the rear mounting point (on the headliner) causes the rattle to go away. I made sure the handle was tight, then removed the handle. Noise is still present. I pulled the headliner down at the sunroof just far enough to peer inside and I don't see anything loose or anything that would explain the rattle (such as a Velcro mount that's missing half the Velcro, etc.). Since I'm not in the mood to drop the entire headliner or risk damaging the side airbags I may just install a piece of speaker carpet or similar to that area from the sunroof opening.

Hey guys, Im new to the SHO community, just got a '11 black on black 402a a little over a week ago. Looking forward to becoming part of the community.

So where is the amp located in the SHO? I thought I had heard that the Sony System has 2 amps? More of a question then a statement.

Amp location no idea...yet. Two amps from what Ive read one drives the mains the second for the woofers.

From what I can tell both "amps" are one "unit" and that is located in the trunk on the drivers side. Just about where the fuel door is but on the drivers side.

There is a wiring harness located just above the passenger seat and just forward of the sun roof. You can see the wire if you open the sun roof and look between the liner and the sheet metal.

I found that wiring harness was the source of my rattle. I wrapped a piece of foam rubber around it and it's been quite since. No need to take anything apart.

When you had the panel off did the inside window squeegee (it that's what it's called) come off with it? I'm trying to tint the front windows and that thing is so tight and hard to get the film past it.

It’s always hilarious. Check the date of the last post before yours @Mike67 . You just resurrected a decade old thread.

I was reading and like what a 2010 still under warranty? Then I noticed the date. Lol!
