door locks malfunction

Ok here we go two nights ago all the cars on my block got robbed except mine lol.... any way so last night i went out and locked the doors my drivers side rear has to be locked manually due to the actuator thing being broken, no big deal. So i locked them all checked them to make sure and the passenger front door wouldn't lock. Messed with it for about ten minutes then said f*&% it and locked it with the key. Now it won't open key wont turn buttons on both doors wont un lock it. So i got ****** put the extra door that i had laying around on... Went to plug it in and it started serging figured it out to be the 1995 door has extra wires from the switches to the harness that arn't on the 1993 door. So i hot wired the old harness into the new door. The unlock on both door switches wont work the lock does but it takes a few pushes of the button to engage. The window switch wont work on the passenger side but will on the drivers side. ill re check all wires tomorrow but WTF its annoying.

It sounds like you're having a problem with the wiring in the door you just put on, as in a short or open circuit. Try disconnecting the wiring on that door and see if your drivers door switch operates the remaining doors correctly. Personally, I'd put back in the old door after fixing the problem with the door locked and not able to unlock with the key. It sounds as if was damaged the night all the cars were broken into except yours. How did they break in, no busted windows? If so, I believe you have some issues to find out if they used a slim jim and caused some binding inside the door, or tried something inside the lock cylinder, damaging it and not able to function any longer to unlock the door, or the two combined.

no my doors were unlocked the neighbors idk about them didnt ask. I think the person knew me so didint mess with my stuff i got a rep around here lol.... Anyways i opened it up and on the inside the inside lock bar with the tab that sticks out of the panel is jammed and wont move. Everything is hooked up but the bars wont move at all.... also is there a lock relay or anything my keyless entry on the door locks all the doors and opens mine and the trunk but not the others....

If so, I believe you have some issues to find out if they used a slim jim and caused some binding inside the door.

This is funny because you can unlock the car in about 2 seconds with a screwdriver, without damaging anything, if you know what you're doing. Big design flaw in the Taurus IMO. I'm surprised they don't get targeted more often.

so i unplugged the harness to that door and the drivers door still doesn't work properly.

Ok lmao i didn't realize that now the code will change for the keyfab.... Is there a way to get a code without having the box for it? Because i replaced the chips not the whole box....

ok i lied mine looks nothing like the one pictured in the sticky
