Door Handle Issue - I am Officially Lost!

So Here's the deal,

I have owned and loved my 89 SHO to death, but, one night while my friend was getting in the driver side rear of the car the actual handle broke off. Now here's where it should be simple right? Wrong! I have so far gone through about 10 different suppliers for a new or used handle. EVERYONE I get is the same as the one I ordered before and will not work on the car!!!!

Maybe I have some rare breed of SHO. I have talked to my local Ford dealership and they are no longer able to order for me, but they say the part should be the same as a regular taurus as well. And they say that it is the same from something like 86-94ish (I can`t remember the exact dates).

So any thoughts on the topic...

I am honestly at my wits end, and all I want to do is fix the car!

PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

they are all the same 86-95. something might be different with yours.. without pics or a better description we can not help..

Something has got to be wrong with your door/linkage. All the Taurus (SHO or not) handles from 86-95 are the same.
