Do all tires come in basic black?

depends on what you want the tire for....I don't recommend anything less than a V rated tire on a SHO (V rating is 149mph, IIRC).

The "P" at the beginning of the nomenclature means PASSENGER and has nothing to do with speed rating. A "P" in the middle or at the end would denote a speed rating, and would be suitable for a farm wagon or utility trailer.

A "P" in conjunction with the load rating (Ex. 88P) would be a tire rated for 93mph. This would not be a utility or off-road rated tire, although you will be hard-pressed to find this tire as the NHTSA doesn't have any codes listed below "Q" as being in service.

Trailer and utility tires start with "ST" rather than "P", and have no speed rating code as they are all rated at 65mph.

I should note that means codes in order of their appearance on the speed rating chart. There are lower LETTERS in use, like "H", but "P" is not one of them.
