So, it seems as though I have misplaced my flippin DIS bolts. Did this after swapping Tony's (SHO_ROLLER_2) DIS to my SHO to see if my DIS was bad.

Well, seems like that was it. We just put his DIS back on and off he went. This was 2 weeks ago. (I had to fly back home last week and didn't have a chance to work on my SHO)

Now I can't remember where I put them. I'm normally pretty **** about keeping track of bolts. Generally place any and all bolts in labeled Zip-Lock Baggie. I just can't find those friggin' bolts.

Anyone know the size so I can pick some up at Home Depot or Lowe's?

:thankyou:

You're gonna have a heluva time picking up M4x.7 bolts at a home depot. I hunted for some for a while, and ended up at an ACE Hardware store. You might have to go to one as well.

As far as bolt sizes go, you might find this to be a worthwhile resource: Here. Look for the red text w/ yellow background and download the link above it. Wondering who would take the time to painstakingly scan, page by page, OCR, index, cross-reference and hotlink, and upload all of that?

Well I don't know, but if you ask me, he should be up for sainthood. I hear it cost the guy $100 to acquire that book as well.... :theyareontome:

You have no shame, do you, Jason.

I hear that the unnamed author of that masterpiece considers it one of the greatest things he's ever accomplished in his life, which says a lot about how pathetic his life is, really.

There is a place I go to in town here called "Wayne Fasteners"... they tend to have every sort of bolt ever needed. You might try a place like that... its kind of like Fastenal, but you don't necessarly have to buy 100 at a time. I sent Boat and Bubba there before for something they needed.

So I'm not really sure where you might look that up... maybe supply house in the yellow pages.. not real sure about that.

I simply believe that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.

LoL... rigged hardware junk... a bolt is a bolt.. its either the right size or its not.

well you have ones that look like the factory style, in their apperance, then you have those nickel plated finished POS bolts that start rusting and look like you found them in a box in somebody's basement and have no point being on a SHO motor with its glorious fasteners

I collect original bolts.... I have boxes of them...

Well thats the thing about going to a store that specializes in fasteners. The majority of fasteners on my intake and the top side of my motor are "button head" screws that take an allen wrench to take off. And their all stainless as well.

Just takes a long time to look all that crap up, and tell them you want 13 of these, and 5 of these... lol
