I have a stupid question. When I am in my 93, listed in my sig, and I am out being ******* it. Lots of redline driving, high shifts, etc... When I return to the garage, my dipstick is loose. Meaning, the plastic where the two o-rings are, has come out. I can see the metal of the actual stick itself. If I am nice to her, this does not happen.

Do I just need to replace the o-rings, or do I have some type of pressure problem inside the block. If it makes any difference, oil is not overful. Of course it is clean, and I run Mobil one if that matters.

sounds like you either have alot of blow by or your pvc system is plugged up.

SHO's have a PCV valve ?

Let me answer my own question. They do not have a valve. All the hoses look to be ok. I know that the valve covers are not gunked up. Just had all of that off for painting. Motor has the cleanist internals possible.

yeah that could be a problem. check th tube, see if it moves...

i see you have Reinforced MM's... so, i dought the engine is moving...

i think that the o ring is just worn, and is not holding. and with High rpm's there is going to be vibration...

Dipstick tube does not move. Tight as it should/could be. I will try and replace the little o-rings.

If I had rings that were allowing blow by, there would be some other adverse affects right. The car runs like no other. No smoke, fresh 120k, rod bearings about 4k ago. And the inside of the motor is one of the cleanist I have ever seen. Only a light yellow color. Not even a carmel color. Compression was good on the engine across the board, just 6-7k miles ago. I have not checked it lately.

for that amount of blow by, you would have drivablity issues...

so, no i dont think it is blow by..

another small step, is making sure the oil stick is sitting in the tube properly... if its twited, it will pop out, as it tries to straighten itself... which im sure your doing properly. just making sure..
