A 1988 Mustang 5.0L GT was placed in the Fantasy Five yesterday. I believe it's not a true GT (transmission **** was hand cut-out for the shifter), but the car was nicely done and in good shape.

The 5-speed and cowl hood are already sold. It does have a 4-lug rear end with 2.73 gears, a nice dual exhaust system (although the "H"-pipe was cut just behind the header collectors during processing - they forgot to validate whether it had cat, before they bagan hacking on it) with magnaflow mufflers.

The magnaflows are in good shape, but the driver's side header has minor damage (couple of dents in the collector). Both headers were setup with oxygen sensors.

If you're interested in the headers/exhaust (or know someone who is), let me know/call me, as they'll likely be gone tomorrow . . . .

Still looking (GT-40/GT-40P). I also need a 99 Explorer 5.0L motor, but it appears Riverside got most of the C4C vehicles.

Know anyone interested in the headers and other GT parts?

What is the GT skirting/bumpers worth?

How about the Flowmaster mufflers and exhaust? Looks like it was a complete exhaust system kit.

Not much. Skirts and bumpers you might get a little out of but they can go from 10-60 all depends on the time. Grab the mounting brackets for them, those are a little harder to find IIRC. Exhaust is a dime a dozen. Unless you get it for $10 its not worth shit. Flowmaster will only bring $40-60 used. Foglights might be a good grab, 8.8" rear IF you can get it for cheap. Un rusted hatch/lid, doors. Tailpipes IF they are Flowmaster and in good shape I would grab.

Hard for me to say what you could make anything on not knowing cost or what it looks like. I MIGHT be able to TRY and sell some of it over on STLMustangs. Clear lights would be good too.

With the exception of the damaged headers and H-pipe, all the above parts are gone. Word must-ta got out, as the mexicans were all over it this morning like stink on . . . .

:rainshit:

Probably all gone by now... lol

Some skinny **** (you know, the losers that buy a Mustang hoping to get a girl friend . . .) grabbed only the foglights yesterday, while I was pulling the trans (he nearly got kicked in the face a time or two). It was the only item he pulled . . . .

Looking over the exhaust this morning, the flowmasters were already showing rust at each of the weld-points for internal baffles, and had been welded into what appeared to be the stock exhaust system. The H-pipe appeared to be mandrel-bent, but again they had cut both sides just aft of the collector flanges with a hydraulic cutter they use to cut-out converters. I could have gotten the exhaust (minus headers) for ~$10 and tax/fees, but passed because the signs of rust.

I spun the rear end and counted 28 mounting holes (there are 8 on the pinion ******) for one complete turn of the drums, which indicates a 3.50 ratio (not 2.73 as someone claimed yesterday simply by looking at it). Also, the pinion nut looks relatively new, as if the ring and pinion have been replaced. So the complete rear-end is still there, but the entire setup is almost $150 with core.

Is the center-unit and axles worth anything, or does it need to be complete?

The rear mounting brackets, which are riveted to the inner steel bumper were still there when I checked the flowmasters. If that's the brackets you're referring to, let me know. I didn't notice if the front brackets were gone, but will check in the morning.

I'll look for the front lights and brackets tomorrow.

In reference to the GT-40/40P stuff. I don't think the heads from the C4C engines will be usuable. The sodium silicate solution used to lock the motors is poured-in through the valve covers, and circulates in the oil until the engine seizes. The procedure requires draining the oil and replacing it with 2 quarts of the silicate solution, which then circulates in place of the oil. It supposedly coats all the oil passages, and I'm sure that also damages all the moving parts in the heads.

They also have [had] a 2000 Mustang GT. Engine and trans (ATX) are already gone, as is the front brakes and steering rack. Someone intentionally cut the Pony seats.

Mark VII rears? Rear what?

94+ 5 lug stuff? Front/rear? Hubs only, spindles only, both, rear-end, more?

83-88 T-bird/Cougar?

Yep.

I need so stuff. Mark VII rears, Mustang 94+ 5 lug stuff, 83-88 T-Bird/Cougar, GT-40 stuff.

Just throwing that out there. Not counting on anything.

BTW, Dil Lion is wrong. D-I-L-L-O-N.

Side skirt brackets.

5 lug stuff from spindle outward.

Mark VII rear ends. Could use front set up too (spindle outward).

83-88 T-Bird/Cougar, just call me and Ill come pull shit.

I wouldnt want some shit heads off a C4C anyways. That would put me farther behind than I am.
