i was wondering if anyone can diagnose my problem.....i know i need a new clutch cause mine is totally toast but i was wondering if my fly wheel is bad....here it is....when i go to start from a stop and im releasing the clutch and pressing the gas i usually get two or three pops...its only from the stopped position that this happens. im guessing maybe some teeth missing from the flywheel or maybe its just more clutch trouble or maybe its even deeper like tranny

The flywheel teeth are there so the starter has something to grab hold of to turn the engine over. They do absolutely nothing else. How's your motor mounts? Subframe bushings and tension strut cups can also make banging/clunking noises.

The pops can be your axle(s) or a loose tranny mount-to-subframe bolt. These 2 are symptoms are ones I have had in my past experience, so it might also be possible if the motor mount-to-subframe nuts are loose, too, considering that the tranny mount caused for such problems.

As for the condition of your motor mounts: apply the e-brake and select 1st gear or reverse, depends on what mount you are checking (1st = front ; reverse = back), then apply throttle and ease out on the clutch only so much to determine the condition. If your engine rises over an inch, you have a worn/broken mount.
