ok make a long story stort. I had to fix my radator because it overheated because the side on it cracked and lost all the coolant. Well, that got fixed and then i need a new thermastat cause it got hot on me again but not as hot as the first time.

This all happend in 2 days and now my fan doesn't work. I tried another fan from a 89 sho and it wouldn't run it. What is wrong? Can i test the fan by just putting power to it cause it only has to wires? Is there a sensor i need to replace in order for the fan to come on? I was told that that box under emission flap on the car in front is for the fan? Lots of questions and need some answers!!

Do a few checks:

Turn on the MAX A/C, see if the fan comes on.

If not, check the voltage at the plug going to the fan (not on the fan side, on the power side). If it has 12V, fan is bad. If it does not have 12V, most likely the Relay Module under the Emissions flap like you mentioned is bad. I believe it is the IRCM (Integrated Relay Control Module).

Also try putting 12v to the fan as you mentioned to rule it out.

If the fan comes on with the A/C but not with the engine getting hot, the ECT (engine coolant temperature sensor) is most likely at fault.
