Here is the deal, battery went dead, no low battery light..
It lights up when I turn the key on, then goes off..
Even when it was so dead, the interior lights got dim, NO low battery light.
One month old interstate battery.. Had it charged, and tested. it's good.
At idle, I am getting between 12.5, and 13 volts. Not so good..
But even with a bad Alt., why is the low batt. light not working correctly?
I will trace both Alt. wires back to my splices, and check them..
I tightened the belt, also...
Just started a job across town, so this kinda sucks..

i had a problem like that, new battery new alt and the battery would keep dying, 2 alts later, someone tells me to check for bad grounds, i ended up running a new ground from the back of the alt to the inner fender ground spot by the battery, it has worked fine for the last 2 years, also i found that the ground strap that goes from the intake to the firewall was not there, hope this helps good luck.:)

I have 2 different SHOs, a 94 and 95 ATXs. Both have new alts. and one has a new Interstate megatron battery and at idle both charge at 12.5 to 13 volts.
