I have White - bright LED lights on my Brick that I have hooked up to be on when Ignition is on. Looks a bit like an Audi. One can be relatively creative with led light tape, or 6-10 LED light bars.

^Agreed. Almost daily (well, nightly, on the way home from work), I come across at least one car with DRLs on and no taillights because they forgot to turn on the headlights.

Yep, many DRLs throw out just enough light to make you think your headlights are on. And most dashboard lights illuminate independent of headlights these days...

I believe that Ford has a plug-in module that will give you DRLs. I believe it isn't very expensive and fairly easy to install.

DRLs will not work on our cars, all US Spec SHOs have HIDs.

DRLs run at 60-80% normal brightness for most scenarios.

You want a cheap DRL setup? Put some tape over the Autolamp eye. Headlights on all the time :) Free DRLs. YWIA.

Lol, you can do the same thing with the older models. The old ones and new ones are similar after all!

Do you have any photos; I want to do the same thing where I have bought the LED SMD 5050 strip of white light. I plan on using about 15" to 19" long starting at the point closest to the mirror going down and around the side amber light ending at the head light.

Did you take off the whole head light and if yes, was it easy to take off the front clear plastic headlight cover? I all ready know how to take off the bumper because I exchanged out the two grills of my car. I just have to retake off the bumper and not to take off the headlights now to complete my goals of having the Audi look-a-like lights strips close in the headlight.

On my Flex, I was able to slide the 20 light LED strip under the Headlight module. I also put a vertical bar of brighter LED's along the inside of the module. All are hooked up to Ignition. On the Brick.... it is very AUDI looking! Have had lots of compliments.

Have pix w/o vertical bar... Could take some if you want and post by Mon. My Brick has a Carriage Works Grille. I did take it out, but that requires 5 phillips screws - in and out.
