hey guys. the wiring schematics that are stickied on the repair, and the modifications forum parts are both not showing what i need to know.
my car is a 1993. the dash clock harness has 5 wires. the dash bezel/gauge surround i got from a 92. the back of the clock accepts a different connector with only 3 wires.
i pulled each clock and placed my 93's in the 92 bezel, but there is space around it, not to mention the bigger display and only 2 buttons, and no alignment of srcew holes.
i just finished playing for the night, i am also still working on getting my newstyle EATC face on my old unit...fun stuff. so i experimented just a lil with the clock wiring.
dash harness:
green with yellow stripe - power, always on
white w/ black stripe - switched accessory power
black - ground
brown - (dimmer or lights on powered...unsure of these last 2 wires...they are both powered when headlights on)
blue w/ red stripe -
the clock end:
closest to display - power
middle - ground
last - ???
any help greatly apreciated!
