It's like $25 or something, and no it's not bad, check the manual though...

*edit* remember there's an upper and lower cable, and there's a gear that they connect to at the top of the tranny that could have gone bad, or maybe it'll happen like mine where the cable just came apart and i just plugged them back together...

hah yeah... it might just have gotten disconnected....

My speedo bounces all over the palce and I picked up a new speedo cable for $16 months ago. I'm just too lazy ot tear into the dash...

i called autozone before i went down and it was 7 bucks so i picked it up, no harm if its jsut disconnected
