Ok so my trunk seems to be tight to the right side creating a gap on the left. Ok so one may see it and say that's not bad but considering the back of this car is what people see when I pass them...haha..I'm interested in getting it fixed. Hopefully el cheapo. Have not taken to body shop yet figuered id check here first. I've uploaded some pics to photobucket of my suspision of the problem but need some help with with a complete diagnoses. I know there are some body work people around here so please feel free to chime in.

You should be able to get a body shop to reweld that anchor. You might even be able to bolt it. They'll remove the deck lid, remove the tension struts and probably the packaging tray material and trunk carpet. You can almost always save money by doing things like that yourself. Just check with a couple of places before ripping it all out.

Ok thank. Is the two arms being different also cause a problem. And also the one arm on the left extends slightly further probly about an 1/8 to 1/4 inch.
