Could be a short, or a voltage regulation issue. I'd check the alternator and CCRM first. Any recent work on the car or driving through high water etc?

I had the fan problem on my 92. Mice had chewed the wires on the IRCM/CCRm harness about 8 inches down from the plug. I would check the wiring first.

most likely cause in my experience is a sticking ccrm, but the wiring possibilities are legit as well.

Look through the items for sale in this forum's classifieds, or go to RCM / SHO Source for their listing of available used CCRMs.

A wonderful thread that talks about the CCRM is here
