OK so I hit a deer and it bent the upper part of my core support down about 4-6 inches. I have a new core support outta a junk yard but that's gonna be alot of work to drill it out and put it in. Would it be a bad idea to just pound it back into place and weld a steel bar to it to support it more? Does the core support really do much to support the car's body? Would it be a good idea to get a front sway bar to increase the front end strength? Please let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks alot.

I would think it would be benificial to replace the core support with the new one you bought. If you just try to pound the old one back into shape the fender lines and the hood line will be off. The won't line up correctly because the base, core support, is not true. That is my opinion. I to hit a deer a while back and am going to get a new support to put in.
