hey guys, im new to the forum and im wondering if anybody here could help solve my problem. ive had my 91' SHO 3.0 for a little under a year now and ever since i bought it the cooling fan never kicked on and until today the temp gauge never worked. i put a new ect sensor, temp sensor, and ccrm (M code) in it this week. my temp gauge works great now, thank god, but my cooling fan still doesnt come on. even when i push max a/c the fan still fails to turn on. the car overall runs great and hasnt given me any other problems yet. now the confusing part, ive spent the better half of today trying to see why my fan doesnt kick on when its connected to the proper connections. it will run when wired to a switch thats wired to the battery, so my fan does work. ive printed off the different ccrm pin diagrams and it seems that my factory wiring harness that connects to my M code ccrm doesnt match any of the code diagrams. the pins that are missing from my harness dont match any of the un-used pins from any of the ccrm boxes. im mechanically inclined and prefer to not to send my vehicles to the shop. my question is does my car require a different ccrm box or is there another underlying problem of why my fan doesnt come on?

Someone has borrowed my EVTM to the 91 model year so I can't really help you out. But if I remember right, the fan has +12 going to it all the time and the CCRM delivers the necessary ground when the PCM signals CCRM for it. The +12 might go through a fusible link setup rather than a huge fuse like in the later years.

according to my 92 factory wiring diagram:

pinout of ccrm:

pin 1 - power supply to battery
pin 2 - power supply to battery
pin 3 - blower motor feed
pin 4 - blower motor feed
pin 5 - fuel pump power
pin 6 - empty
pin 7 - empty
pin 8 - battery to load
pin 9 - empty
pin 10 - power supply to battery
pin 11 - fuel pump relay control
pin 12 - power supply to battery

pin 13 - ignition switch to coil battery terminal
pin 14 - coolant temp switch to control relay
pin 15 - constant voltage to gauge
pin 16 - ground
pin 17 - empty
pin 18 - feedback carb coil 3
pin 19 - empty
pin 20 - empty
pin 21 - a/c control relay feed
pin 22 - wot a/c cutoff
pin 23 - a/c clutch feed
pin 24 - power relay output from eec relay

That appears to confirm that there is 12V to the ccrm at all times and the pcm provides the ground to pull in the various relays.
