Well if you had put power to the fan and it didn't run theres the problem you need to look at first. Try it again, if no go you prolly need a fan motor.

Yea, sounds like your fan motor is dead if you direct wired it and it still didn't work. Also, when mine died it also blew the fuse for the fan motor. You might want to check that as it could explain why there is no power at the plug. IIRC its a 50A in the engine compartment fuse box by the firewall.

I thought it was called the IRCM. What is the CCRM? I recently replaced my fan motor, not that. I think it's the relay harness. I checked all the fuses, they're all fine. Does the relay harness have to be from a 94-95 MTX for my car (See sig)

Thanks for the help...

from my understanding the ccrm is sho only and the icrm is what the one is called on the regular taurus.... i am not sure about the whole harness but from my research their are 5 or 6 different ccrms .... their is a large letter on the ccrm that makes it eazy to match up, i looked at 3 differnt shos to find the same one that was on my 95 mtx... hope this helps

Integrated Control Relay Module was Ford speak until '93 when SAE standardized things and they called it the Constant Control Relay Module. In '98 the did away with it all together and just put the relays in a serviceable box.

the ccrm is on the top of the radiator support, under the black plastic cover that has all the stickers on it, lift the plastic cover up a little and you will see the ccrm, on the driver side it will(should) have a little spongy sticker ( kinda like a mouse pad) on top of it, you will have to peal it back to see the numbers, and a large letter

if you look behind your fan, you will see a plug in the harness you can unplug your fan here and run some jumper wires to the fan side of the plug to give your fan some juice and see if it will come on... :thumb:
if not the ccrm could be bad..... you can also probe the other side of the plug to see if their is power their, i had no power coming to the fan so i just replaced the ccrm and fixed the problem........ hope this helps

Same thing happened to my 96 Cavalier today, Fan good, fuse good, relay good. One of the pinouts in the 'socket' the relay plugs into, that isn't suppose to have 12 volts unless the ign. is on.... Actually had 12v even when ign. was off = BAD PCM  But.... I rewired it "Tim Allen Style"
