i just bought a 1994 ATX show and the connector on my coolant recovery tank is disconnected. The connector also appears not to match, not sure why. Is this a coolant level sensor or temp or what? Do I need to be concerned? I have no warning or check engine lights? Any help would be appreciated?

well mine didnt work when i got my car the hose was clogged and cracked. But mine shot on a low coolent light before i finally replaced the hose. I dont think its a big deal unless your car is overheating or somthing like that. The tank just keeps extra water until its needed. But i would still try get it fixed. as for the connector I dont know why it would be mismatched.... May be from another ford or somthing. All that does is makes sure your tank has coolent in it and if it dont the light should come on unless its rigged with a jumper or somthing.
