There's a couple of us from the Detroit area driving down on Sunday, primarily via I-69 to Indy, then I-70 over to I-57 in Effingham where some Chicago folks may meet up with us. Ken Mallinson took the info, and may have it on the SHO Club site.

Who cares, bring it anyway. Bring a rental if you have to. Heck, you could even hitch a ride from someone else.

The biggest secret about the convention is that it's not about racing your car. It's all about seeing what other people have done to their cars. It's about sitting in the parking lot and drinking BEvERages till the wee hours of the morning. It's about lighting firecrackers off underneath Kirk's chair.

LMAO Ian. I may meet up with you guys. I am planning on crossing over to the USA on the Sat and camping somewhere, (not sure where) and then do the rest of the drive Sunday not to really break up the drive but to get my 7 days in.

If you (or any other MI folks) are interested, I have a caravan listed on the SHO Club site. We are picking up IL folks at Noon CDT at the Rest Area at MM114 on I-57, but the earlier stops are as follows:

I'm leaving Lake Orion on Sunday at 5 AM, and picking up John Semchena on I-94 at the Rest Area at MM150 (east of Jackson near the Grass Lake exit) at 6:15 AM. We are then headed to I-69 south, where we will do a stop at the Rest Area (IN Welcome Center) at MM144 at 7:45 AM (south of the Toll Road), then a stop at the Rest Area at MM93 at 8:30 AM to pick up Willie Orpurt coming over from Ohio.

All times are approximate, depending on the usual stuff. My cell phone is in the SHO Club info, but it is 248.891.4760. We will also be on FRS Channel 6.
