connecting rods? do they need to be installed any certain way?

I'm putting my motorback togethor and I am wondering does it matter which way the rods are facing? I had the new rod resized and if the piston is in the right position does it matter which way the rod goes? I know the piston is offset but if I'm not mistaken the rods can be put in either way, correct please help!

Raised writing goes towards the front of the motor.

The front of the rod (faces front of motor) is up in this picture. There is also indent on the top of the big end and a bump on the cap.
