Hey guys I'm a bit confused on doing my brake upgrade kit on my sho. I've been reading alot of adds that's been put out there and now i'm wondering if someone can help me. Okay i have a 95 mtx so we've got the knuckles figured out and to do the 96 upgrade all i need is the caliper brackets, but what if i wanted to do a 13" upgrade. I've seen alot about the cobra calipers and rotors. The rotors i understand that you have to drill them but what about the calipers? Do i need to find brackets or will mine work? Also what year do i get, 96 and up? I had wanted something fairly cost effective, oh and i've already got the 18's to fit so i'm covered in that part. Anyway i'm hoping someone can help me out, that would be great.
Thanx Ed

You are correct on the 96 upgrade, but you should change to 598 style pads also.

On the 13" PBR using either the Cobra or Corvette you need to use the PBR caliper brackets. On a 13" set up, you will also need to be running 17" wheels.
Our kit comes with brackets and the rotors are drilled for 5 on 108mm.

The 96 brake upgrade is a "more than adequate" system and yes, all you need to get is the brackets and the rotors. Depending on the condition of your system, you can get new pads, 2 brackets, and 2 calipers at Napa for 65.00 per side. they come as a complete unit and its simple to install. Long term it is my opinion (caveat) that the 96 brake upgrade is a very good use of the money and much easier on the wallet.
