Ok have an odd question does a f44f-12a650-fa computer fit a 1995 taurus sho. It has a L4w0 sticker on the back and also on the data sticker. I pulled this from a 1995 taurus I have driven a few months ago and it actually ran but ran rich. The car is currently down for a 60k front and top service haveing never been done as far as I can tell. The car did not have a o/d light comming on and would not go into 4th gear. Car ran rich before being parked. Only drove about 200mi since owning the car but never seamed quite right. Any suggestions. I have another d4u1 I pulled from a parts car. I know just replace it and don't worry about this one but how was it able to run with a standard ford computer if that is what it is? Would running this have damaged the transmission or just make it drive out of overdrive?

The overdrive light would not come on at all. No flash nothing. It will not go into overdrive. I want to know what this computer fits if anyone knows. I even ran a few KOEO tests with it and gave some codes before. I might be fairly new to the SHO world again but never would have guessed it had a standard taurus computer if that is what it is.

L4W0 is for a 3.8 engine, circa 1994.

I appreciate it. I guess the pin placements must be very close for most of the functions. I have a d4u1 to replace it after the 60k is finished. I need to check the thermostat too. It was running super rich left black soot all over the back bumper cover.
