I have a 94 mtx with the x2j in it with a chip. I have an extra b9b1 with a lpm that is programed for a 80mm maf bbbs and ported runners that I have. My question is will the b9b1 work in my car because I want to put the 80mm maf in? Thank you

Maybe. Or just get it re-tuned...

You have to check if the b9b1 had egr programming. There were different models because early GenI California cars had egr systems and other GenI SHO's came without. By GenII all the cars had egr IIRC.

It's out of a 90 with no egr.

to my knowledge the only 5 speed cars with EGR in any year were california cars..... I believe all ATX have it though.

most MTX cars do not have EGR.... gen 1 or gen 2

be an interesting poll to see what the ratio is.....

I also believe the EGR MTX cars have a particular ECU....... could be wrong on that though, something to investigate further for yourself

Agreed, most 2nd gen MTX you see will not have EGR.

If neither car has egr then the pcm should operate in the GenII. Whether the tune by mail on the chip is really a very good one is another question.
