Computer Buzzzzz.

Has anyone ever heard a buzzing sound coming from the computer under the cowl vent? I keep hearing this buzz sound, I hear this sound when I am stopped and the engine is idling, but not every time I am stopped. At first I thought it was the fans kicking on, but, it sounds like it is coming from under the cowl and that is where the computer is located, so my guess would be the sound is coming from the computer. Anyone ever experience this, why would the computer make a buzzing sound?

The fuel vapor solenoid is located right there too.

What exactly is the fuel vapor solenoid and has this been known to buzz on occasion?

Vapor canister purge valve and sometimes solenoid valves will buzz.

Is the purge valve or solenoid on the firewall, and looks like a propane tank ****?

Okay, I remember seeing that thing when I took the intake apart, hmmm I also remember turning the top of it a bit, uh oh, wonder what I did to it.

Ya know it doesn't seem to make much sense to me that Ford would place this purge valve right under the vent where all the "fresh" air enters the car's cabin. Bad Ford, Bad!

It is just a valve that opens the vapor line to the intake. It should not allow any vapor into the air at that point.

Is the purge valve or solenoid on the firewall, and looks like a propane tank ****?

It has the light green top and the hose that goes to the intake behind the EGR. BTW this hose is one that rots from the outside in too.
