So I pulled the front of the compressor clutch off and I dont see any shims. I am a complete noob at this task so maybe I overlooked something. Anyone have a picture of the shims that need to be taken out? Need help ASAP as I need to get this car back together tonight.

Thanks!

EDIT: After groping the compressor, I found some tiny washers on the hub where the front plate and nut mount to. Are these the shims?

The clutch hub assembly comes off and the shim goes over the shaft, its in there, you just have to find a way to get it out. Magnet seems to work.

Yea, I was able to pull one of them off with my fingers.

Words of wisdom: Dont attempt this project after a 3 hour drive in 96 degree temps.

A/C works great FWIW. Just wish I had done this job a week earlier. The drive down and back from KC this weekend ******* blew.

The shim is a small, thin wavy type washer.

I happen to know someone who has a brand new old stock V8 AC compressor clutch that is not needed..
