a couple of weeks ago I had my check engine light come on a few times so I did the paperclip test KOEO and KOER and got 172, 177, and 219 for the KOEO and a bunch of different codes on the KOER test. Well I later posted that I found the sensor that goes into the air intake box disconnected (wire cut). I fixed that problem and the car ran great. Well the car has been parked for awhile because I had to have eye surgery. To make this short; today I received my new innova ford code reader(see post in product feedback) and retested the car. All the codes received before rewiring that sensor are now clear. They show up in memory only. My car has no codes except for 511 because I have a Ted B. chip. Is it possable one sensor can cause all kinds of trouble codes pointing to different devices on your engine?
I would appreciate some feedback on this subject.

Thats what I am talking about. I guess we have to just about check everything before we start replacing sensors that are related to the codes we receive.

"Codes" are NOT the definitive diagnostic. They are an aid in the diagnostic process.

Therefore, do not just replace a part because a code pointed to it. While that part may be the culprit, it is only one element of a whole process which must be followed to reach a defintie diagnosis and a successful repair.
