I'll be driving back up on Tuesday. I'm bringing my propane heater and tools and fully intend on cracking into the poor ol' broken SHO. Will post findings as soon as possible. If anyone has a spare cam chain and tensionor with block, let me know. I hope it's a simple fix like that, I miss my SHO dearly. Anyone want to bet if I'll still try to sell it if it's fixed?

Yeah that's my SHO!
Thanks for the offer Ryan.
Does anyone know how hard it would be to retime the engine if a chain did let go and the cams are off now?

I believe I have spare cam chains & tensioners - I'm all the way in Northeast Ohio, but hey they're here if you need them. :)

Well folks I had a cam sprocket failure...ie the bolts came out and the sprocket slid off basically. Replaced with parts from Ryan, thanks bro! Fired up, engine is horribly out of time.

Im glad ya got things in order Denny. I still feel bad that I could not help you out but with my unemployment running out and no job it got VERY tight around here. I do love my new job though! Speaking of which....I drove a Fusion the other day and it was a 5 speed. Are those the ones that are rated 220hp? What ever it had in it it was FAST!!!!!!

Oh yeah.....those 06 Mustang Gt's are pretty fast too. I gott o drive a couple of them. :naughty:

Ryan, thanks again bro! Got her timed up, so far so good. I have been babying it around the block and having it just idling, will take out for a test spin shortly.

Matt, the V6 221hp Fusions are SIX speeds! The four cylinder only comes in a five speed..auto or manual. I have yet to drive an ATX I4, but the manual I4 is peppy, the variable valve timing and the gearing give it some umpfh right off of idle. They're no Mustang, but for a four banger sedan, they're very decent! Can't wait to get mine soon and be a Ford only garage. Matt, where are you at now by the way?

The 220HP Duratec isn't offered with a 5 speed - you must have driven the 160HP 4 banger - good to hear it's quick! I haven't had a chance to drive one yet.

Glad to hear you got a new job! What are you doing now? :)

if it was a 5 spd manual it was the 2.3 duratec 4cyl. They are pretty peppy stock. But throw on the Cosworth stg 1 and 2 packages or even better stg 3 and really have some fun.
