I am looking for the "service engine soon" light codes with instructions on how to get the program going. Someone here should know where to get them. Appreciate the info. NIck

Appreciate the info. I failed to tell you my SHO is a 1997. That site only lists up to 1993.

Try over here http://www.fordf150.net/howto/ you may have to join (free) to access all the codes. Have you looked at the shotimes.com website for eec v codes?

If you have an AutoZone or an Advance Auto nearby, they will read the codes from the OBD-II system for free.

Come back here and post them for discussion since you have no way of knowing what the level of experience is posessed by the counter person at the parts store. You might get a real mechanic who is moonlighting there or you could get an entry level sales person who, while willing, lacks the experience and knowledge to give an informed diagnosis.

If you're in or near STL, I can also read them.
