codes 189 & 191

anyone hear of these?

basically the code refers to the computer demanding the car full rich but it still is registering lean.

sometimes my car stalls at stoplights when I take off and EXTREMELY boggy launch if it doesn't stall....... hard to start once this happens, problem is very intermittent though and I can't really give u any descriptions as to when it happens under what conditions.

anyone else run into this problem and find a fix?

alldata refers to checking the fuel system for a place to start to fix to these codes

The codes indicate the front bank sensor was rich at idle and lean at part throttle. Either there is something wrong with the fuel control system or the front bank O2 sensor is past its prime. If any of the other sensors had provided an out of range signal, there would be a code to show that. I would ordinarily think that the front O2 sensor was faulty, but that won't cause the engine to die at idle. You could replace the sensor and see what codes you get after that.

maybe I posted th e wrong number,

the description I listed was correct, I used a snap-on scanner.....

the two codes I have indicate bank 1 and bank 2..... so I'm ruling out an o2 sensor issue right now..... I think its something more along the lines of fuel pressure..... but its very intermittent and thats whats odd


I also replaced my fuel filter today, when I tried to blow through it there was shitloads of backpressure lol.... maybe it will help
