I would have gotten aluminum ones put i wouldnt be able to get them in time. I'm just getting rubber ones.
I just took the sho to harold zeigler ford though to get worked on. As long as its less than 500 i'll be happy! They're gonna call me tomorrow to tell me exactly what they're fixing. In the mean time i'm going to go to the junkyard to get a used dis. hopefully i can find a good one somewhere, can't get it till friday though. if i cant find one i'll maybe just get the one from autozone for 140.

so if the only thing wrong is the bushings...then the recall doesnt matter for my car? Also, If the recall hasn't been done...ie. no holes in the floor...then should they do the recall fix for free?...my car is a one owner bought in michigan...it seems like the recall should've been done..but we'll see!

The recall especially pertains to rust belt cars. If they have to replace the hardware then it should save mucho $ to have the bushings done at that time.

The recall was initially on the bolts / washers holding the bushings in place (the washers obviously failed on your car because they are missing in the pictures.....) so the dealer might make you pay for the bushings. They should do the recall for free if it has never been done before. I have seen recalled cars that have had the washers fail, so it is not out of the question that the recall was done already and over time the recall-enhanced parts failed.

replaced a clamp on my exhaust, and only had to drill one side. total is 151.60! I am veryyyy happy about that. Also the dirt bike noise turned out to be a hole in my driver side muffler. lucky for me though i have all the original repair receipts and i have lifetime warranty on my mufflers through tuffy. i have an appt monday to get a free muffler installed, haha!

The connections to the DIS were probably coming loose due to the broken subframe. If the box part of the DIS is still intact (just the connectors cracked) and the car is running OK, just tape the wire connectors to the remaining part of the DIS connector to make sure they don't come loose again and you are good to go.
