hey everybody,
I have a 92 MTX and I just can't get rid of code 219. I have checked the two spouts for continuity and both checked out fine. I have no idea why this code keeps popping up, but sometimes I am hearing random, small, backfires in the mufflers, and the exhaust smells gassy all of the time. Any help would be really appreciated!

Have you checked the lines down stream to see if they may have an open?

well, I traced the wiring and found no problems, in fact some of this 12 year old wiring looks brand new! I don't really know what to do next, but I am starting to hear random "pops" in the exhaust, somewhere in the resonator or mufflers, and I think this may be related. I read in another thread that replacing the cam position sensor erases this code as does replacing the DIS module. Anyone know if that is true, or what else causes a code 219? Thanks for any help!
