Hello everyone. My check engine light came on and I checked the codes and code 116 came up. That is the "Engine Coolant (ETC) out of range", right?

If it is, what part do I have to change? Thank you.

The engine coolant temperature sensor needs to be replaced. It is located on the coolant distribution manifold directly under the throttle body. There is a two-conductor plug, angled toward the firewall connected to it.

Just for info, the water temperature indicator sender is located just below and to the radiator from the thermostat housing. This sender only has a one wire plug attached to it.

Thank you Scott.
I had a feeling that was the problem since it read "coolant out of range".

First check and make sure your radiator cap is on tight before spending any money. If it's on, but not tightened down all the way, you will get this same error because the pressure is incorrect and causes the coolant to get hotter than it should. Sdpatt is probably correct, since he always is, but I figure this is free to check, so why not do it.
