Will the taurus banjo bolt work with the cobra caliper if I'm using stock hoses? Just wanted to check before I pulled it apart.

Thanks in advance,

James

no if you are putting cobra calapers on your car you will need to purchase new banjo bolts for those calapers. the taurus ones (all years) are a coarse thread and the cobra calapers are a fine thread.

That's no longer true. Within the past year or so PBR changed the thread pitch on the calipers, so you really need to check the banjos in the calipers first to see which thread pitch they are. Older ones will require the special fine pitch banjos, and newer ones will work with the Taurus coarse pitch banjos.

Matt is right. When we did my upgrade they fit right in no problemo. We did have to grind down the end of the brake hose for it to fit on the caliper, but that was about it.

I didn't find out about the hose problem till after I put everything together. So I had to finangle the hose around to get it to work.
I really wished I was told about this before buying (thanx midwestsho). i have since grinded down the end of hose to fit properly
And my banjo bolts fit right in. i think my kit came with them but I forget if i used them or my old ones :nut:

Well, I just pulled the calipers apart and re-tapped them for the taurus banjo bolts. Got it all together last night and everything worked out great! What a difference. now I can't wait to get the 11.6 rear kit!
