They require a LOT of clearance behind the spokes of the wheel. Based on the clearance Jason's got behind your wheels, I doubt that the cobra caliper would fit. The Enkei RS-6s I had might have fit them, but I still doubt it. The graphic on that webpage gives a pretty good idea. That kind of clearance is much easier to achieve with a RWD-offset type of wheel vs. the positive offset type we have to run.

more rubber, more HP.....
Yup . . . 50mm is huge. These wheels don't even come close to having that kind of clearance. I wonder if they meant 50mm from the outer surface of the rotor to the inner surface of the wheel? If I can locate those calipers in any local shops I will need to measure it myself, otherwise it's a no go. :frown:

I have the RS5 in an 18" but i think the offset is 42mm. So these probally wont work either. price doesn't seem too bad for4-piston brembos

I was looking at them as well today here:

Me thinks that you might want to try converting the car to 4.5 x5 that the mustang uses, as there are a wider variety of wheels available for this type of applications.

I was looking at these myself:

I think I am going to start with a basic cobra upgrade. Seems like a good bank for the buck mod...

I can tell you for a fact they are not going to fit. My friend bought a set with the hopes of them fitting. We bolted one on to a car [yes, they bolt right on to a 94/95 knuckle] However, once they were on, there was probably an inch and half gap between the wheel and the rotor. They stick out way too much. If you want four pistons, get a TCE kit.

OK thanks for that info. I looked on the Brembo website for specs. It does in fact require 46 to 48 mm clearance in the dimension specified in the drawing and my wheels don't have nowhere near that much space. :frown:

I hope your friend was able to get his money back.

He will when he sells them. Hes getting some 19s and he thinks he might be able to make them work with a spacer, but they're going to stick out.
