A lot of people have, and especially around you. I recommend you take your SHO to North Texas Performance, Tony is the guy who runs the shop and is a SHO Specialist, he can inspect your car from head to toe and replace what needs to be replaced.

honestly if you know anything at all about cars you dont need anything. A manual helps. I left my at my apartment, but O Reileys sells a good manual; though i like Helm. The main thing is support. Be sure you only take out the 2 driver side sub-frame bolts. Loosen the passenger side. When you pull the tranny out, make sure you have one jack to lower and raise the engine and one to support the subframe. I had a friend bear hug the tranny and we pulled it out. The tricky part is squeezing the tranny through the fender well. It might be a good idea to buy a clutch kit with the repair sleeve as well. Just check the tranny shaft and if theres no scuffs or anything, leave it alone. Dont take out your fly wheel unless their's a lot of discolor in it. tiny heat spots wont hurt anything. If you get long big ones everywhere get it re-surfaced. Like any repair on the SHO, its a PITA.
