I don't have any personal experience... cause I've always used a OE style clutch/clutch pad, that said I've heard some 'performance' clutch pads grab very abruptly!

Unless you were building a lot of powah and/or a dedicated track car I would think such a clutch might become annoying.

A good OE style clutch with beefed up strap, etc... should serve and last a while

Any pucked clutch discs will grab and chatter , and will drive you nuts. The labor to replace a clutch is a total PITA, so go with a reputable source for parts; Shonut sells a reinforced plate and organic disc; also the ceramic TOB, that should last years and years.

The standard clutch works well, and is hard to beat overall. If you like the south bend model in there now, then getting another one is a good option.
I find the Throw Out Bearing (TOB) is the part to concentrate on, and that ceramic model may be a good solution. I have one, but it has not been in there long enough to offer a comment on it.
Avoid downshifting harshly, as that is what breaks the straps.
