Available new?

Whats the part number? Call a dealer. If they EVER had one, they can tell you. If it's available, they can tell you. Was it ever available new or reman(aftermarket)? Probably not.

Disclaimer: I don't even know what part you are talking about.
Totally unqualified statement: A machinist at an engine shop can probably cobble one up for an hours labor.

Prayer: Let him see the humor AND the seriousness.

its the piece that goes through the TOB into the shift fork to secure the TOB.
is there any other piece i could substitute. it kind of looks like the plastic clips that hold the splash shielding into the wheel well.

I used a cotter pin.

Its there for ease of installation. Once installed the TOB wont go anywhere.

It's not a good idea to use a cotter pin because the metal will rust and the ends can break off which can cause issues. Best to use something like what Tom mentions or get one of the nylon pins that Ford has available.

The plastic pin is there to aid in installation. Eventually it breaks, but the TOB is located by the "ears" on the fork.
