Clutch Problems

Just got my clutch done for my 89 sho it went i felt shuddering and rattling in the clutch pedal and had to release the pedal all the way to get it to engage the clutch and it was real hard changing gears well anyway got it to shop they put a fenco 9.75 clutch in in a ford pressure plate and a aftermarket throw bearing. now it dont grab at all and there is still a rattle in the clutch pedal and they say its the clutch pedal ratchet system not working tats why there is no grab. well ideas here would help and tricks to putting in a 89 clutch

are they saying that the auto adjust mechanism isn't working? that's what it sounds like. have you tried adjusting it and what does it do when you try? also look into the clutch cable it's self, make sure it was re-installed correctly

How do you adjust a clutch cable

Turn car off. Put car in 1st gear. Pull up ******* clutch pedal with tips of toes. Hear click if it adjusted. Hear nothing if it didn't adjust.
