whenever i push the clutch pedal in after 4000 rpm i get what sounds like something grinding in the cable, and the cable is not even a year old. I just replaced my clutch not even a week ago, yet it used to do the same thing with my old clutch i had, any ideas please?

did you replace the throw out bearing?
did you tension (adjust) the clutch cable properly?

Yes i replaced the TOB. And no the grinding gets worse when i press on it. Its really more of a buzz. And much more distinct after 4000 rpm.

My clutch pedal "buzzes" above 4000

Thanks to Jon Vogel :

I've had this buzz/rattle coming from the clutch pedal area whenever I shift above 4000 rpm. I determined the culprit was the adjuster tension spring inside the pedal arm. Wrapping some dampening material around the spring fixed the problem.

Something to check before replacing the $50 cable...

My clutch pedal vibrates:

Sometimes during a clutch replacement, the clutch cover-to-flywheel bolts don't get torqued properly and start backing out. The symptoms are shifting difficulty due to incomplete clutch disengagement, noise or clicking when shifting, and vibration with light pedal pressure near the top of the pedal travel. There is a TSB on this, 93-1-12 which lists the symptoms and indicates that NEW bolts must be used (part # N806606-S100, 6 required) and the bolts must be Loctited and properly stage-torqued per the shop manual.
