Is there a trick to connecting the clutch cable to the fork assembly, 94 mtx. I am in the middle of this and having difficulty with getting it attached. Any ideas or tricks? I replace clutch in a 92 and had no problem. I think automatic adjustment is completely to its max. Is there away to release it?

Yes, have someone pull up on the clutch pedal to release the adjustment pawl, then pull on the cable. You'll have a lot of slack when you pull against the adjustment spring (which isn't very strong).

Have someone pull-up and hold the clutch pedal while you re-attach that clutch cable. Otherwise as soon as they release the pedal it will retension the spring and you'llbe back at square one.

If you're working solo, cut a 6-3/4" length of wood froma 2"x4" and use it to prop-up the clutch pedal. While the service manual states approximately 7"/188mm, their metric math is wrong (7 x 25.4 mm/in = 177.8mm). I found it difficult to get the 7" section I cut under the pedal without a lot of force - even after pulling back the footmat.
