A stock Valeo kit can be puchased at most automotive supply places. I personally would stay away from the reman Valeo units since they seem to have an issue with exploding on heavy use. If you call a local trans shop they should probably be able to give you the name of a good store in your area.

Clutch kit wise really depends on what you intend on doing with the car. If you plan on doing major upgrades then upgrade to a stronger clutch kit. SHO NUT Performance and Midwest SHO are good places to look for upgraded kits. I'm not sure if either carry new Valeo kits.

Just FYI, my car has some fairly decent mods including nitrous and I'm using a stock Valeo kit and love it.

Seems if you order the TOB, clutch disk and PP separately the total comes to ~$217 according to AZ's online site.

by buying them seperately, you get remanufactured pieces and varying warranty, which could lead to warranty issues if one component were to fail. buying the clutch as a kit insures new components and better warranty coverage.

A-Z no longer offers a lifetime warranty on the SHO clutch kit. though, when i bought mine, it had a lifetime warranty. therefore, i will always have a lifetime warranty stock clutch.

i did find a site tonite that sells a complete SHO clutch kit for around 320. it includes a new pressure plate, clutch disc, revised B TOB, alignment tool, and quill sleeve(if needed per application).

South Bend's Rally clutch has served me well so far (28k miles).

Its basically a stock clutch kit, complete with Disc, PP, TOB, sleeve, and alignment tool. They run $325. They also use reinforced straps and bolts.

http://www.autozone.com

the other site has a pre-recall 9.5" Sachs clutch for 109.65. they also offer the 9.75" clutch like mentioned in my post above. but dont look for me to be divulging the site. last time someone mentioned a good price on a SHO specific part, in 2 weeks, the price went from 204 to 279.
