clutch cable

i'm replacing the clutch cable in my 94mtx, has anyone done this, it looks like a pain in the ass, is this true, any advice

Its a little challenging to actually get to the place where the hole in the firewall is, to get the cable through it, and to get under the dash to get the cable connected. It helps a great deal if you take off the knee bolster part of the bottom of the steering column to make more room. And the stamped pieces under there have lots of sharp edges, so either wear long sleeves and gloves, or buy a box of bandaids before you start....
