OK so I've heard I have to be easy on the clutch for the first 1,000 miles. With Spring Zing coming up I guess that gives me eight days to put on 1K! But do the type of miles count? If I do alot of highway driving will that be the same? Someone told me I have to do alot of city driving to shift a great deal to get the clutch to break-in well. What should I do exactly?
Thanks in advance!

Hiway driving does nothing to break in the clutch because you arn't engaging and disengaging it. Stop and go city traffic is what you need.

If it's a stock clutch with an organic lining, it'll be fine with very little break in. They seat fast.

If it's a higher friction disc, some of those can take a little while longer to bed good.

I'd say 100 miles, maybe 200 on a stock clutch before you go nuts with it. Some of the other higher friction discs may take 500+
