Is there any way to adjust the clutch in a Gen2? I thought I read somewhere these were self-adjusting and that all you had to do was pull up on the clutch pedal?

My shifter is getting hard to put into first sometimes. Last time I did this it got really bad and I had to do a clutch job. The pressure plate fingers were almost ground through. I replaced the TOB with a Grizzly Paw, so I was wondering if maybe a re-grease and adjustment might help? Or is it time for the clutch again?

The owners manual says to pull up on the clutch pedal with 10 pounds of force (at least) every 5,000 miles. This process keeps the proper tension on the clutch cable to maintain TOB pressure against the pressure plate fingers. That pressure is required to prevent the TOB from sliding against the PP and wearing it prematurely.

If the clutch cable is tensioned and the clutch is not fully releasing, well, I'm afraid you know what that means. Sorry.
