clunking from front end

so im driving today when i notice a clunking from the front end,every 10 seconds or so. Sooo i think great, its probably a rod bearing going bad.I pop the hood and listen, but i cant really notice the clunking in the motor area. It more or less sounds like its comming from the dash area.take it home, turn key off and i still hear it but it stops after a few seconds, any ideas?

The problem was the windshield wiper motor
